The House of Fog and Ash

15 years old Mexican-American Emma Cruz runs away from ICE, the immigration police, after taking away her father. She runs into the woods with a backpack but ends up at a river where she meets a young boy. The young boy lives in a mansion with secrets in the mansion walls. She thinks she’s made a couple of new friends, orphans and 1 girl who peaks her interest and a boy who seems to like her very much.
